I'm currently working on my pick for 'J', but in the meantime, I'll leave you with this. It's an editorial illustration that I just completed for an article about Virtual Ecstasy in URB Magazine. He's a soldier on a drug trip. Unfortunately in the end they decided not to go with it, so he makes his home here at PaintByWord. I shall call him Jack.

i'm curious about how that process worked. you pitch them for this piece? did they do a call for entries type request? what?
