What is this place?
Paintbyword is an art blog I created as a way to keep the creative gears constantly moving, and to directly communicate with anyone remotely interested in what I do or what I have to say. I post up an illustration every few days (or I at least try to...ha!) which are based on words that people send to me. After looking over a list of submitted words, I chose one that sticks out to me the most and make something inspired by it.

How can i get involved?
You can send your words (or questions, comments, etc.) to
atorneros@gmail.com.
...
What materials do you use?It varies. Graphite, colored pencil, acrylic, oil, spraypaint, ink, resin, paper, wood, plexiglass, and digitally speaking: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDraw, and my trusty Wacom tablet.
...
How do you make your textured backgrounds?
I throw around paint, water, salt, rubbing alcohol, coffee--anything interesting that'll give it a kick and a pop.
...
Are you selling your art?Yes, email me for prices and to see what's available. With the PBW illustrations, however, to get a hold of the artwork you'll need to win in an eBay auction (each post has a link to the auction). Otherwise, it will say Sold or Not Available underneath the artwork title.
...
Commissions?I do accept commissions, but on a limited basis.
Email me to check my availability.
...
Do you design stuff like t-shirts? If so where can I buy? While I would love to put my designs on some threads, I currently don't have anything like that available. Those are some future plans that haven't been fulfilled yet. :)
...
How can i contact you?
The best way is through email. Atorneros@gmail.com

I have a great word for you. Can you illustrate it?I get tons and tons of words sent to me, and while I'd love to choose yours, I only pick the ones that stick out to me the most.
...
Can you design my tattoo? No. Sorry. Unless you give me full freedom of what you will be putting on your body, I won't design anything based on your own concept. It's too much pressure to try and perfectly execute a design that will be on your skin permanently.
